Chaka Trading Co. set out to bridge the craftsmanship and cultural richness of the Andean region with consumers in the United States through a curated online store of handcrafted goods. The opportunity was to translate deep cultural significance into a brand that felt authentic, respectful and commercially appealing, while clearly communicating the story behind the name “Chaka” and its symbolism of connection.
The Solution
We developed a distinctive brand identity inspired by the Puente Zigzag bridge in Ecuador, creating a zigzag motif that subtly forms the letter “A” in Chaka. This visual language captured the idea of connection and cultural bridging. Alongside the identity, we designed a user-friendly e-commerce website that balanced storytelling with usability, allowing the craftsmanship, heritage and products to take centre stage while ensuring a seamless shopping experience for an international audience.
